Virtual Guide is a guide for the visually impaired to enable the exploration of unknown environments. Currently, the app exists as a prototype and is pre-loaded with a rudimentary map of the campus area of Lund University (Sweden). Virtual Guide uses GPS and compass navigation to determine the position of the user, and speech synthesis to convey relevant information in real time.
